AlSentis® launches standard AlSentis® HSS™ discrete touch input chipsets

Holland, Michigan, USA  August 2, 2013 – AlSentis, LLC has finalized and launched production of their first standard discrete chipsets powered by AlSentis® HSS™ touch recognition technology.  This launch includes 1-6 input and 1-15 input families of discrete touch chipsets in a variety of packages. 

Microchip Technology Inc. will manufacture and distribute AlSentis chipsets.  AlSentis® HSS™ technology has won attention because of its ability to identify exactly when a surface touch occurs while inherently overcoming manufacturing and environmental variance, unlike capacitive touch sensing solutions that use a pre-determined threshold that is extremely sensitive to variance of all sorts.

Development kits containing these new families of chipsets are in development and will soon be available to the market.
